MT. VERNON HIGH SCHOOL DAILY BULLETIN

Thursday, August 18, 2022 - Maroon Day                                               

• Tomorrow Friday, August 19th will be CLUB Schedule. Students will report to their coordinating groups during club period to fill out a short survey. All grade levels will be involved.  This survey will help connect students to universities depending on their interests in various careers. We will get the materials into your mailbox by Friday morning.  Questions or concerns see Mr. Jones. 

TO THE STUDENTS:

• Tomorrow we will be on a club schedule. Students should report to their coordinating group during the club period.

• GRADUATION PRODUCTS:: There will be a senior class informational meeting regarding graduation products with Josten’s rep.on Friday, September 2nd (8:15-8:35) in the PAC.

• CLASS RINGS: There will be a sophomore class information meeting regarding class rings with Josten’s rep. on Friday, September 2nd (9:45am-10:05am) in the PAC.

• GRADUATION PRODUCTS & CLASS RING ORDERS:
  Josten’s will be accepting orders for class rings and graduation products on September 8th (10am-1pm) & (3pm-6pm) during lunch. Their table will be set up at the entrance of the auxiliary during lunch.

• Current or Perspective FFA members we welcome you this friday at our brief callout meeting at 3:10 in the ag room. 

• The Pocket Athletic Conference has raised all ticket prices to $6 for varsity events.  MVHS students can purchase discounted passes through the athletic office or by going online to EventLink.com; choose "EventLink Tickets" and "Buy Season Passes."  Email or stop in and see Mrs. Luckett in the Athletic Office for more information.

• Picture Day: Thursday September 8th  Picture Retakes: Thursday  October 13th

• "Do you like to spell but hate public speaking? Do you love to learn new words? Do you want to expand your future resumé? Consider joining the Mount Vernon Spell Bowl team! ALL students are welcome to participate, and new members are encouraged! The Spell Bowl callout meeting will be on Tuesday, August 23rd, in the library at 7:30 AM. Please reach out to Mr. Pickrell if you are interested or have any questions."

Congratulations to: 

Lady Wildcats defeat Wood Memorial to go 2-1 on the season. Kaleigh Kelley led the offense with 12 kills and Mallory Nurrenbern 10 kills. Kaleigh also added 6 aces. Brooke Sledd led the defense with 20 digs and Mallory Nurrenbern added 16 digs.
