TO THE STUDENTS:

• Ms. Block’s 4th period students should report to the Media Center today.

• Key Club will have its first meeting this Friday morning at 7:40 in the PAC. Please consider joining if you are interested in making a difference in our school and community while gaining character and leadership skills. If you have any questions please talk to Ms. Block or Ms. Burnett.

• Those petitioning to run for Freshman Class officers need to turn in their forms to Ms. Burnett in A215 by 3:30 on Tuesday August 23rd. 

• Bus Changes starting this Thursday, August 25th: 

1. Bus #1 students should ride bus #31
2. Bus #31 students ride bus #18 in the morning and bus #17 in the afternoon

• Picture Day: Thursday September 8th  Picture Retakes: Thursday  October 13th

• "Do you like to spell but hate public speaking? Do you love to learn new words? Do you want to expand your future resumé? Consider joining the Mount Vernon Spell Bowl team! ALL students are welcome to participate, and new members are encouraged! The Spell Bowl callout meeting will be on Tuesday, August 23rd, in the library at 7:30 AM. Please reach out to Mr. Pickrell if you are interested or have any questions."

GRADUATION PRODUCTS: There will be a senior class informational meeting regarding graduation products with Josten’s rep.on Friday, September 2nd (8:15-8:35) in the PAC.

CLASS RINGS: There will be a sophomore class information meeting regarding class rings with Josten’s rep. on Friday, September 2nd (9:45am-10:05am) in the PAC.

GRADUATION PRODUCTS & CLASS RING ORDERS: Josten’s will be accepting orders for class rings and graduation products on September 8th (10am-1pm) & (3pm-6pm) during lunch. Their table will be set up at the entrance of the auxiliary during lunch.
