MT. VERNON HIGH SCHOOL DAILY BULLETIN

Monday, April 3, 2023 - Gray Day 

TO THE STUDENTS: 

1. SENIORS: Josten’s will be delivering graduation product orders this coming Monday, April 3rd from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm in the cafeteria commons. Reminder every Senior MUST order a new cap and gown if you are planning on participating in the graduation ceremony.  Place your order online at www.jostens.com or speak to Josten’s Rep today during lunch.
2. SENIORS - Please check your email for a form to submit your photos for the senior video. The form must be completed before March 24, 2023 in order to have your responses in the video! If you need to have your photos scanned, please see Ms. Block in room B111. Please remember, ALL photos must be school appropriate! 
3. The Naval Academy is having a meeting at Memorial for all students that are interested in joining.The meeting will be held at Memorial in the Media Center on April 11th at 6pm.
4. April 29, 20223 - Prom at USI in Carter Hall from 8:00pm-11:00pm. Tickets will be sold 3 weeks prior to prom and tickets will be $30 each.

CONGRATULATIONS:
MV 14 Mt. Carmel 7 
The 'Cats totaled 16 hits in the outing, and were led by Kaylen Salee (3-4), Mallory Mason (3-3), Raycee Stallings (2-4), Peyton Rush (2-3), and Cora Bell (2-4). Kaylen, Cora, and Cherish Anderson had 2 RBI each. Kaylen was the winning pitcher, only allowing two runs and striking out nine in 4.1 innings. 

MV 9 Mater Dei 4 
Taylor Mason (2-3), Mallory Mason (2-4), & Cherish Anderson (2-3) led the team with multiple hits. Raycee Stallings racked up three RBIs! Kaylen Salee secured her third win on the mound,  pitching a complete 7-inning game and striking out eight.

MV 15 Tell City 5 (Final in 6) 
The ‘Cats beat Tell City in the first game of the First Savings Bank Invite! Kaylen Salee (2-5), Cora Bell (3-4), and Hannah West (3-4) led the team with multiple hits. Hannah West hit a grand slam in the top of the second and had 5 RBIs in the game! Kaylen pitched a complete game win and struck out seven in the outing.

MV 15 Madison 4 (Final in 5) 
The Lady ‘Cats won the second game of the First Savings Bank Invite on Saturday! Kaylen Salee (3-4), Bailey Cox (2-3), Cora Bell (3-4), Alaina Allyn (2-4), Ali Lyke (2-4), and Raycee Stallings (3-4) led the team with multiple hits. Ali and Bailey had 3 RBIs in the game! Alaina secured her first win of the season! She struck out five in the outing. The 'Cats finished 2nd in the invite.
