TO THE STUDENTS: 

SENIORS: 

• Seniors if you haven't picked up your Graduation Cap/Gown please pick them up in the Counseling Office ASAP.. 
• Every Senior MUST order a new cap and gown if you are planning on participating in the graduation ceremony.  Place your order online at www.jostens.com 
• Your chromebooks will be collected on Wednesday, May 17th before Senior Recognition Practice.

1. After Prom tickets will be on sale Wed. 04/26, Thurs. 04/27 & Fri. 04/28 during lunch.
2. Please mark your calendar for the annual MVHS Spring Art Show on Wed. May 17 and Thurs. May 18. Classes are welcome to visit! Please let me know if you need ideas for an assignment related to your curriculum. The show will be in the high school art room F102, across from the cafeteria. 

The Spring Art Show times are:
Wed. May 17 - 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm
Thur. May 18 - 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

1. Mount Vernon Color Guard auditions are April 26, May 1st, 3rd, and 8th in the high school band room from 5:45 to 7:00pm. No experience necessary, we will teach you what you need to know!"

CONGRATULATIONS:

• Congratulations to the Concert Band who received a gold rating on their prepared pieces, and a gold rating in sight reading, for an overall gold with distinction rating at the ISSMA Concert Assessment on Friday. If you'd like to hear them, they will be performing those pieces and more at their Concert on May 4th at 7pm!"
• The MVHS Advanced Choir received a Gold rating for their performance and a Gold rating for Sight-singing at the ISSMA Organizational Contest at Castle HS on Saturday.
• Varsity Softball beat Carmi (il) 5-2.   The Lady 'Cats were victorious last night against Carmi! Raycee Stallings (2-4), Cora Bell (2-4), Alaina Allyn (3-4) & Taylor Mason (2-2) led the team offensively. Alaina picked up two RBIs in the outing. She also pitched a complete game in the circle and struck out six! The 'Cats are back in action tonight against Gibson Southern. First pitch is set for 5:30 PM!
