• Art Guild morning meeting tomorrow at 7:30 in Mrs Glaser’s room F104. All past and new members are welcome.”
• All students that are parking in the HS Football & Tennis lots should purchase a parking sticker in the school bookstore by this Friday, September 1st and placed on your vehicle.

Parking stickers will cost $10.00 and you will need to know the make, model and license plate number of your vehicle.

CONGRATULATIONS:

• Girls Varsity Soccer beats Southridge 4 - 0

Mount Vernon went up in the first half with a goal from Ella Sponn, assisted by Alyssa Fendell. 

In the second half, goals were scored by Abigail Powell(assist Ella Sponn), Reagan Sullivan

(assist Valarie Thompson) and Alyssa Fendell (free kick). Abbey Ries had a clean sheet for MV. 

The team is back in action Tuesday (5:30) at home against Booneville. 

• MV Football picks up road win @ South Spencer.

Mount Vernon football picked up their first win of the season @ South Spencer.  Scoring for the Wildcats in the 1st quarter was Nash Hostetter on a 72 yard touchdown pass from Nicot Burnett.  Kortez Stewart scored from 1 yard out in the 2nd quarter, putting the Wildcats up 14-7 at half.  

In the 3rd period, teams traded scores.  Scoring for Mount Vernon in the 3rd quarter was Shane Krieger on a 5 yard touchdown run.  Capping off and sealing the victory for the Wildcats was Kortez Stewart on a 1 yard touchdown run in the 4th. The Wildcats will travel on the road next week against 1-1 Pike Central for a 6:30 CST start
