• To take advantage of the best pricing and promotions all year, please have your order in by the Order Deadline of today, September 11th.  Jostens will return to school on Thursday, September 14th during lunch periods for Celebration Day to take orders and hand out gratitude rings

• Friendly reminder of the upcoming NHS meeting this week, on Thursday, 9/14/23, at 7:30am in the media center.  Agenda items will include, voting for officers, turning in any forms for service completed since last meeting, and other upcoming opportunities for group service projects.  As always, attendance is expected.  Students needing to miss for school-related events must contact either Mr. Bacon or Mr. Bethel prior to next Thursday to discuss the absence.

CONGRATULATIONS:

Mt. Vernon football improves to 3-1!  Mount Vernon raced out to a 21-0 1st quarter lead.  Nicot Burnett was 13-20 passing for 174 yards and 2 TD's. Nicot also had a 12 yard rushing score.   Ryder Snodgrass was 2-3 throwing and 1 TD.  Receivng TD's for the 'Cats included Jacob Swartz (27 yards), Jackson Clowers (61 yards), & Kortez Stewart (20 yards).  Stewart also had a rushing TD in the 1st quarter.

Mount Vernon's defense limited the Hatchets to 94 total yards and forced 4 turnovers.  Mount Vernon will be back in action next week at home to play Forest Park for Homecoming.
