Maroon Day
The Fine Arts Academy will present our spring musical, “The Wedding Singer,” this weekend in the PAC! There are four performances: Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and a Saturday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and can be reserved online at mvhsfinearts.ludus.com. Student tickets will be available at the door where you can pay with cash or card, but the best way to reserve a seat is to order online. All seating is automatically socially distanced, so if you want to sit with your friends, remember to order all your tickets together!
SENIORS: Reminder to complete the FAFSA by April 15. Mrs. Rose is available for assistance.
Big Wildcat on Campus is coming up on April 28! BWOC will be in the PAC beginning at 6:00 pm, and everyone is welcome to come watch. Any senior boys interested in signing up should see Mrs. Delaney or Mrs. Block ASAP.
The National Honor Society will be meeting in the PAC on Thursday at 7:30 am. All members are expected to be in attendance. If you have a conflict and cannot attend the meeting, please let Mr. Riedford or Mr. Wheaton know before the meeting.
The Mount Vernon Police Department will be hosting the Junior Police Academy, June 7 through June 11. If you are interested, please see Lieutenant Gonzalez for an application. You must have a 3.0 GPA and your application must be returned by May 7.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: WSI is now hiring full time Production Operators in Mt. Vernon. You can email a resume to: michellehoehn@warehouseservices.com or bring one by the new Cox Group building - 427 Locust Street in Mt. Vernon.
Volunteers are needed for the special Olympics swim clinic today and tomorrow from 6:00 - 7:00 which will be held at the MVJHS pool.
Any girls interested in playing on the Girls Golf team this coming fall should please plan on attending an informational meeting today after school in Mr. Wolfe's room at the junior high. If you are interested in joining the team but cannot make the meeting, please email Coach Wolfe.
