TO THE STUDENTS:
- On Wednesday, 9/14 our school representative from Neff Company will be here during the lunch period for letter jacket fittings and sales. He will be set up outside of the Aux gym. Order forms can be picked up in advance from the athletic office. Parents are welcome to come in a talk with him that day as well. Please contact the athletic office with questions.
- "Attention all girls! The student council has gotten approval to play Powderpuff this year at the Homecoming pep session! There will be a callout meeting tomorrow Tuesday, September 13 during reading period in Ms. Burnett's room, A215, for any girl interested in playing. For any additional questions or if you are unable to attend the meeting, contact Ms. Burnett."
- Mark your calendars - MV Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, September 24 from 8-11 pm. Tickets will be on sale during lunch on September 21-23.
- Friday, September 23rd we will be on an Altered Schedule for PEP Session.

- Yearbooks from last year have arrived!
Yearbooks are being distributed each school day during the reading period. Current MVHS students are welcome to stop by A214 between classes or before or after school to pick up their yearbook. Last year’s graduates can email Mrs. Thomas (thomasel@mvschool.org) and arrange to pick up their yearbook in the main office student Pick Up table.

- Boys Varsity Tennis beat Benjamin Bosse High School 4-1. Rylan Paul def. Cannon Faucett 6-1, 6-3. Adam Burke def. Drew Ferguson 6-1, 6-1. Reese Harshbarger (Walkover Victory). Watson/Pollard def. Khai Willard/Micah Luckett 2-6, 6-4, 10-7. Hunter Spaulding/Masyn Dye def. Garnett/Lewis 6-0, 6-2
- Varsity Football beat Jeffersonville High School 48-0. The Wildcats made the long trip to Jeffersonville worth it tonight, winning 48-0 against the Red Devils. The Cats got off to a hot start, scoring 21 and 20 points in the first and second quarters to jump out to a huge halftime lead and running clock in the second half. Kortez Stewart led the Cats offensively, rushing for 169 yards and 2 TDs, while also hauling in a receiving TD on a pass from Nicot Burnett. Burnett also rushed for 2 TDs, and freshman Shane Krieger punched in the last TD for the Cats. Defensively, the Cats posted their first shutout of the season with great team defense. The Red Devils managed only 78 total yards and 8 first downs on the night. Parker Willard scored his second defensive touchdown of the year on an interception returned for 27 yards. MV improves to 3-1 on the season. They take on Forest Park on the road next Friday. Go Cats!
