TO THE STUDENTS:

• All girls interested in playing basketball this season will start mandatory practice on Monday, October 18th. All athletes need to have a physical on file and all forms completed on final forms to be eligible to participate. Fall sport athletes can communicate with Coach Steinhart to determine a start date that allows you to have a break before transitioning to your winter sport. All athletes should follow the Basketball (Girls V) Practice calendar in Eventlink for the official practice schedule. If you have any questions, please communicate with Coach Steinhart.  

• October 25th - October 29th is Red Ribbon Week.  This week is designed to be an awareness campaign that gets information to the general public about the dangers of drug use. Students please wear red all next week in support of Red Ribbon Week.  There will be an awareness table set up during lunch on Monday, October 25th - please stop by on your way to the main gym after lunch.

• The soccer teams are having a fundraiser. It is a shoe drive. We are asking people to please bring gently used or new shoes for the shoe drive. The shoes are collected by a company that then distributes the shoes all over the world to people in need. The most recent large scale donation made by the company was to Haiti after the massive earthquake in August. Our fundraiser goes until November 20. There is a collection box in the main lobby, but we will also be collecting shoes at the home football games! There are other drop off locations as well at the Public Library, Posey Lanes, and the Co-Op on 4th St.
