To the STUDENTS:

• Altered Chime Schedule dates for the month of September

• Friday, Sept 6th - Football Homecoming Pep Session

• Wednesday, Sept 18th - Half Day School 

• The Sunshine Association will be meeting in the Media Center this Tuesday, August 27 during the reading period. All students are welcome, and we will be planning activities for the year. If you want more information about this club, please see Mrs. Tharp, Mr. Pickrell, or Mrs. Green.

• Girls basketball fall workouts will begin September 4th at 6:30 am. If you are interested in playing basketball this year, please attend September 4th or stop by Coach Alderman's room (A218) to get a calendar for a schedule for all fall workouts dates and times.

• The Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, Sept 7, 8-11pm in MVHS cafeteria. Tickets will be on sale starting during lunch periods starting Wednesday, Sept 4. $15 each. It is open to all high school students and their guests. See guidance office for a form to be filled out for any guests - form must be completed to purchase a ticket. No tickets sold at the door. Photo Booth, snacks and drinks included with ticket purchase.

• Anyone interested in being a part of the Wildside Student Section and helping create a great environment for our home sports come be a part of the Pep Club! New Members are $15 and Returning Members are $10. Members will get t-shirts and in Free to ALL home events throughout the school year. Find Coach Newcomb to get signed up today! Next meeting will be Thursday 8/29 at 7:35am in the Main Gym. Breakfast will be provided! 

• There is a Fan Bus sign up sheet on the door to the Athletic Conference Room, B103 for the game at North Posey tonight.  First come first served.  There is no cost to ride the fan bus, but please be sure to bring $6 for your admission ticket.  Students must ride the bus to North Posey and back to Mt. Vernon.  No one way trips.  Pickup is in Circle Drive (the Main Gym Entrance) and departure time is 5:00 PM.

• If you are interested in joining the fall esports team, visit the IT room located next to the media center, scan the QR code and complete the Google form.

CONGRATS:

• Girls Soccer picked up their first victory last night on the road at Harrison HS.  The girls won 3-2 with goals by Ella Sponn, Mariyah Buchanan and Lorelai Boyd.  Assists were Taylor Ellison, Hailey Jarvis and Addison Cihlton.  They will play again next week on Tuesday at home against Princeton.
