The Winter Formal will be this Saturday, January 13th from 7:00-10:00 pm, and it will be held in our cafeteria. The theme is "An Evening at Mardi Gras." Tickets are $20 and will be available to purchase during lunch. If you are bringing a guest that is not an MVHS Student to the Winter Formal you will need to pick up a guest form in the counseling office and get it approved before purchasing tickets.
Seniors, the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now open. Mrs. Rose sent an informational email on Friday. She is available Tuesdays and Wednesdays if you need assistance or have any questions.

- Preseason track and field practice begins today until 4:15pm. Please change in the locker rooms beside the weightroom and meet in the foyer between the gyms. Bring warm clothes as we will go outside as much as possible. Email Coach Wagner or Coach Snodgrass if you have any questions and please make sure you have a physical on file before attending.

- This Thursday, January 11th, there will be a callout meeting, during reading period, for any boy or girl interested in participating in dodgeball at this year's pep session. - Tomorrow Thursday, December 14, a representative from the Posey County Community Foundation will be at MVHS to speak with seniors about the scholarship opportunities available through the PCCF. Seniors who are interested in learning about these opportunities will be able to attend a presentation in the PAC from 10:50-11:20.
- Auditions for the Spring Musical, GREASE, will be held today Wednesday, December 13th and Thursday, December 14th in the PAC. The sign-up sheet is posted outside the choir room.
- Retake Picture Day is TODAY 12/12/2023 (10:00 am - 12:00 pm) in the PAC. If you Prom is April 20, 2024 at USI in Carter Hall 8:00-11:00 pm
CONGRATULATIONS:
- The MV Wrestling Team has had a successful two weeks. The team is currently 16-4, and is on a 12 dual win streak. The team finished 2nd in the PAC Duals falling closely behind Heritage Hills. Their hard work and effort has been recognized by the state rankings committee where the wildcats are now ranked 10th in 2A Wrestling by Hoosier Mat.

Congratulations to Hannah Carr and Nolan Deno for placing 2nd at the District 10 Welding Contest. Hannah was 2nd high welding individual, and Nolan was 11th. They will compete at the State Welding Contest on January 20th.
